About Me

Portrait by Carolyn Griffiths

For nearly 20 years I have pursued my passion for journalism and writing. From my first inspiring days spent in the master’s program at Columbia School of Journalism in New York City, to my days freelancing now for Serendipity Magazine and other boutique businesses in the Westchester/Fairfield area, I love helping people tell their stories, share their ideas and introduce new products and fun things to do to readers. I am a sister, a wife, a mother of three boys and a friend and I know the challenges of juggling life in today’s world. We all need information, advice, help, amazing products and a little fun to get us through it all. It brings me joy to know I can be part of the solution.

When I’m not working, I am…well, working! Raising three boys is a challenge and a joy. To tell you the truth, the only time I sit down during the day is when I’m at my desk! But I love every minute. I have enjoyed helping Studio Q thrive in our little town of Bethel, CT. If I had the time, I’d be an all-star quilter but you don’t want to see my sewing! Most of my free time is spent running to youth sporting events.

When I can squeeze in a few minutes at the piano, I enjoy tickling the ivories. I love the time I spend reading with my boys or for my book club. (And I love my book club friends!)

Despite it’s challenges, I love cooking, but it’s most fun when I’m doing it for family and friends. I almost never follow a recipe to the letter but I’m getting good at learning how to make one up on the fly with what I have in the pantry or refrigerator.

I apply that technique to designing my house, too! With a tight budget, I make the best of what I have, with found objects, repurposed and refurbished furnishings and my handy dandy paint brush. My painting skills are like my editing skills—precise and thoughtful.

My knack for making the most of what I have and thinking outside the box, makes me good at my job, too. Let me put my creativity to use for your business. I’d love to help you with all your communication needs.
